Director Sameh Abdel Aziz and writer Ahmed Abdullah present a different and fresh portrayal of the Egyptian neighborhood by addressing a number of bold and contemporary issues that represent a realistic picture of what is happening in the Egyptian neighborhood and its current state. The series depicts the characters in their daily struggle to earn a living and secure the resources for life.
The series also addresses the issue of new preachers, the relationship between Muslims and Christians in the Egyptian neighborhood, the concept of citizenship, customary marriage, and other thorny issues.
